Service of the Lord’s Day with Rev. Ed Soto Sermon Title: “Purpose of Parables” Scripture: Jeremiah 23:1-6; Mark 4:1-20 Choral Anthem: “Anthem of Thanksgiving” Arranged by Jay Althouse Director: Linda Giles, Pianist: Dot Hogan, Trumpeter: Stephanie Moehlenkamp Now thank we all our God with heart and hands and voices. Who wondrous things hath done, in Whom the world rejoices. We gather together to ask the Lord’s blessing; He chastens and hastens His will to make known. The wicked oppressing now cease from distressing, sing praises to His name; He forgets not His own. Beside us to guide us, our God with us joining, ordaining, maintaining His kingdom divine. So from the beginning the fight we were winning; Thou, Lord, was at our side, all glory be Thine. Come, ye thankful people come; raise the song of harvest home. All is safely gathered in ere the winter storms begin. God, our Maker, doth provide for our wants to be supplied; come to God’s own temple, come, raise the song of harvest home. Now thank we all our God. We thank You, O God.

Service of the Lord's Day with Rev Ed Soto Sermon Title: "A House Divided" Scripture: Haggai 2:1-9; Mark 3:20-27 Choral Anthem: “As the Bridegroom to His Chosen” Words by John Tauler, Music by John Rutter. Soloist: Jeff Janiak, Pianist: Linda Giles [choir] As the bridegroom to his chosen, as the king unto his realm, As the keeper to the castle, as the pilot to the helm, As the captain to his solders, as the shepherd to his lambs, So, Lord, art thou to me. As the fountain in the garden, as the candle in the dark, As the treasure in the coffer, as the manna in the ark, As the firelight in the winter, as the sunlight in the spring, So, Lord, are thou to me. [Solo] As the music at the banquet, as the stamp unto the seal, As refreshment to the fainting, as the wine cup at the meal, As the singing on the feast day, as the amen to the prayer, So, Lord, art thou to me. [choir] As the ruby in the setting, as the honey in the comb, As the light within the lantern, as the father in the home, As the eagle in the mountains, as the sparrow in the nest, So are thou, Lord, to me. As the sunshine in the heavens, as the image in the glass, As the fruit unto the fig tree, as the dew unto the grass, As the rainbow on the hilltop, as the river in the plain, So art thou, Lord, So art thou, Lord, to me.
Service of the Lord's Day with Rev. Ed Soto Sermon Title: "The Twelve" Scripture: Habakkuk 1:1-4, 2:18-20; Mark 3:13-19 Choral Anthem: “Communion praise.” Words by James E. Taulman. Music by Dale Peterson. O Bread of Life, on You we feed, for You alone can meet our need. Draw near to us in wine and bread, and may Your mystery around us spread. So holy, yet so common-place, the bread and wine now filled with grace. Throughout the day we are sustained food and drink, by wine and grain. Go with us from this holy place, as we go forth to share Your grace. Speak through us to the world in need, may we be true in word and deed.
