Service of the Lord’s Day with Rev. Ed Soto Sermon Title: “The Lord’s Prayer, Part IV” Scripture: Jeremiah 14:7-9; Matthew 18:21-22. Choral Anthem: “Surely, He has borne our sorrows” Words [Based on Isaiah 53: 4-6] and Music by Heather Sorenson Surely, surely, He has borne our sorrows and our failures. Surely, He has carried every heartache, He has walked our path of grief. Surely, surely, He has promised to be with us to the end, He’s with us to the end, and by His stripes, we all are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray, we’ve turned each one to our own way; we’ve turned each one to our own way, each selfish thought, every prideful word. But the Lord has laid on Him the transgressions of us all… by His stripes we’ll know Him. And by His stripes we all are healed.
Due to technical difficulties, today's service was not recorded. Please find Rev. Soto's sermon below.
Service of the Lord’s Day with Rev. Ed Soto Sermon Title: “The Lord’s Prayer, Part II” Scripture: Joshua 2:1, 8-11; 2 Peter 3:8-10 Choral Anthem: “Hope of the World” Words and Arrangement by Lloyd Larson Hope of the world, help to the helpless; a humble Servant, Savior, Friend; God’s only Son, sent to redeem us; hosannas ring praise without end. Amazing love! How great a Savior! Christ comes to set the captive free. A love beyond all comprehension, the grace of God for all to see. Amazing love for you and me! Jesus walked this lonesome valley, He had to walk it by Himself; O, nobody else could walk it for Him; He had to walk it by Himself. Jesus walked this lonesome valley, despised, rejected and a lone. And alone, He carried our sorrows, griefs and burdens. He had to bear them all alone. Jesus bore them all alone. Amazing love! How great a Savior! Christ comes to set the captive free. A love beyond all comprehension, the grace of God for all to see. Amazing love for you and me!
Service of the Lord’s Day with Rev. Ed Soto Sermon Title: “The Lord’s Prayer, Part 1” Scripture: Isaiah 45:18-21, 1 Peter 1:13-19 Choral Anthem: “Longing to Draw Near” Words by Susan Bentall Boersma, Music by Craig Courtney Here at Your table, Lord, Your child awaits, for You have called and I have heard Your voice. Unworthy child am I, hiding beneath Your righteousness yet longing to draw near…to hear Your softly whisper, “Child, I gave My life to make you Mine. Opened My side to make you clean, and shed My blood to wash your guilt away. Come, take and eat and drink and live, and live… Then as I bend my knees, here at Your feet, my body nourished and my soul restored, I hear Your voice, I stretch my hand, I touch Your robe, I feel Your peace…
