Service of the Lord's Day with Rev. Nancy Dawson
Sermon Title: "Lord, To Whom Would We Go?"
Scripture: John 6:56-69; Ephesians 6:10-20.
Choral Anthem: “Blessed are the ones who wait for You” Words by David Foley and Julie I. Myers, Music by David Foley
How silent lie the city streets, the very roads to Zion mourn. No resting place, just empty gates; the former splendor now is gone. The captives held in exile are fed the bread of tears; no laughter fills the lonely who grieve for Zion. Blessed are the ones who wait for you. Blessed are the ones whose hearts are true. O come, Emmanuel. Come, God of Israel. We lift our longing hearts to You. In You our souls will always hope; we pray You’ll answer when we call. Come now and cheer out spirits here; O Dayspring, come redeem us all. More eager than the watchmen who search the sky for dawn. We’re looking for the rising of joy in Zion. Blessed are the ones who wait for You….
